COUNSELLOR / THERAPIST
(TWO POSITIONS)
The post holder will be part of the expanding Assessment and Day
Treatment Centre substance misuse service team within Matt Talbot
Adolescent Services CLG. They will provide ongoing assessment,
stabilisation and out-patient treatment to young people that are
misusing substances and or their families. The post holder will work
with young people between the ages of * and
* years of age and their families/guardians.
All of our clinicians share the same scope of practice to support the
goals of the young people and families in a collaborative, respectful
and evidenced informed manner while drawing on their own unique
training, experience and skills. Our Clinicians benefit from
comprehensive in-house training, monthly clinical supervision
alongside a comprehensive programme of continuing professional
development
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST HOLD
* A relevant 3rd level professional qualification at level seven or
higher in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychotherapy, Addiction
Counselling, Family Therapy, relevant Health and Social Care
professionals (eg: Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or
Registered Nurse.
AND
* Be accredited as a counsellor/therapist with the ACI or within a
relevant Professional Body such as the IACP/BABCP or can prove that
they are working towards accreditation.
